A Brave New World For Our Children

I didn't think it was possible but Planned Parenthood has sunk to new lows.

Their new website, takecaredownthere.org, is not just disturbing, its downright disgusting.

From male on male oral sex to masturbation and videos with titles like "Bring Your Sister" and "Threesome," its obvious they are taking a stance against abstinence.

I know it's Planned Parenthood, but I really don't know how they can get away with these messages.

It just doesn't get any worse than this. Or does it? There's a new underwear line Disney has made for young girls. A grandmother was outraged when she found the words "Dive In!"on the high school musical underwear she had just bought for her seven year granddaughter.

What kind of messages are we sending to our children?

"What kind of messages are we sending to our children?"

The message we are sending to our children with this smut is that it's ok and acceptable. As long as we, the Christian community, stays silent and leaves the public square firmly in the hands of Planned Parenthood and its allies we are telling our children that we have no effective answers to what they are putting out.

What is that old quote? Oh, yes, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

Burke was right and this is still true today. If we, the church, do not stand and publicly fight them, Planned Parenthood has won and will continue to win for as long as they have no opposition.

You really have to watch all the takecaredownthere videos to get the full affect. This stuff is being used to educate children. I'll be damned if I sit around and watch while that creepy old guy in their videos teaches my children about sex.

John,

Sadly I haven't heard much from the Christian community about Planned Parenthood and their "education."

I think many Christian parents choose to stay in the dark on these issues because its much easier than trying to educate these kids themselves. And today the chances that their little darlings are not being sexual (even in middle school) is pretty slim even for Christian kids.

But they need to face the fact that if they aren't learning about sex from a Christian perspective at home, they sure aren't learning it elsewhere.

(Though I am a big surprised they are still strongly teaching abstinence in the school district I went to)

A challenge, then, to both of you. Become the organizers of Christians in your respective areas. Inform them, motivate them, move them to action. It has been done all over the country in different ways and for different purposes. Believe me, it can be done and done effectively. Both of you seem to be highly motivated and articulate; so just do it. In other words, I'm saying that you should at least consider channeling your anger and knowledge into concrete action. People naturally gravitate towards leadership and you guys could provide just the type of leadership that's needed. God will honor your efforts in ways you cannot imagine.

Just a thought.

What does "move them to action" even mean?

Well, "move them to action" means whatever you want it to mean. Presumably if you have a righteous anger at something it means that you want to accomplish something in response to it. Once you decide on a plan of action, meaning that one thing you want to accomplish, then you will know what you want people to do.

Simple? Kind of. Lots of work? Absolutely. Productive? A lot more so than complaining.

Thanks for not answering my question.
